All thanks to the support from our growing customer base, our consistent suppliers and the fantastic team we have on board at Stonehealth®; 2016 was in fact the best ever year for us on record! We plan to continue being the leaders in Stone Cleaning Technology and to expand our sensitive product range to meet requirements of the conservation industry.
At the beginning of the year we said good bye to our two paint softeners; 6hv and 7s and replaced them with our all-purpose paint softener, Paint-Rid. This product is brilliant for removing many different types and layers of paint from masonry, wood and metal. I think it is safe to say that it is preferred by many of our contractors and has proven to be an effective addition to our chemical range.
2016 also saw the release of the DPU – DOFF® Power Unit which has been a popular addition to the DOFF® family. The first two batches sold out within weeks of them arriving in our workshop and we are hoping to receive our first batch for 2017 very soon. To all of those contractors who are using the DPU – we would love to hear your feedback on this as you are the ones putting it to the test out on site, so please let us know how you’re getting on. Send us your feedback here.
We are now ready to kick-start 2017 and we have lots of ideas to make this year just as good as the last. Keep your eyes peeled for our monthly blog posts to find out more about what is happening at Stonehealth®.
What did you DOFF® in 2016?
As you know we are always looking for stories and photographs of projects that our contractors have been involved in, we have made a compilation of some of the videos of DOFF® projects we have seen throughout 2016, please click here to take a look.
The Philharmonic – Cardiff
Here is a great example of what the DOFF® and TORC® systems can do to gently restore a historic building back to its former glory.
These photographs are thanks to one of our Rosette Approved contractors; Dawson Stonemasonry Ltd. Dawson’s have been Stonehealth® contractors for more than 10 years and have achieved some fantastic work with their DOFF® and TORC® systems in that time.
The Philharmonic in Cardiff is one of the most iconic nightclubs in the Welsh Capital, it is now being refurbished to a plush bar and restaurant and the owner wishes to return the buildings to their former Victorian glory.
Dawson Stone worked to remove the paint from the building on the left using the TORC® gentle swirling vortex system and then the building on the right just required a sensitive clean with the DOFF® superheated water system.
