Stonehealth - Systems & Machinery

TORC System (Improved version of the Jos)

This system is well recognised as utilising a swirling vortex, for gentle yet effective cleaning, comprising of a mixture of low air pressure, a little water and a safe inert powder/material. The former version of TORC was first introduced into the UK by us and was called 'Jos', but that has now been superceeded and much improved upon. We have also developed and enhanced the design and standard over the original system, making it much easier for the operator to use, with better results and with reduced running costs (original complete Jos nozzles wear out), the small stator insert is generally the only part requiring periodic replacement.

'TORC' nozzles have a removable 'nose' section allowing a choice of 5, 7, 9,11 or 13mm apertures. There is also a smaller version of the system, the 'TORC Studio' which has 1, 2, 3 or 4 apertures.

The swirling action is developed by a replacement 'stator' housed within the nozzle itself. The stator also generates a more exagerated action, demanding less water to lubricate the swirling process. This has a number of benefits; a reported lower consumption of granulates to produce a given rate of work; the ability to work drier, or even dry if necessary whilst still maintaining the swirling action (although water always enhances efficiency and the natural appearance of the clean).

Approved Granulates - Unil 250, Unil 500, Dolomite & Calcite

These are the granulates that have been tested and approved by Stonehealth as being both gentle, yet effective for cleaning in conjunction with the TORC system. Only approved granulates should be used to prevent damage to the system itself, or the substrate.

DOFF System 'SuperHeated Water'

The DOFF system is very different in action than other 'steam' or 'hot water' systems currently available and should not be confused with them, as it is actually 'superheated' water that exits the nozzle, not just hot (70-90°), or steam. The system uses a normal water supply, taken into the high pressure pump unit, where the pressure is increased to the required level before entering the Hotbox. The desired pressure can be variably adjusted by the operator and is independent of temperature settings. Within the heater unit, the temperature can be increased at anything up to 150°C if necessary, before it passes through a heat resistant nozzle, which is used to direct the super-heated water onto the surface to be cleaned.

'Custom Built' 'Bespoke Equipment'

We are able to modify our systems, or even to build equipment such as nebulous spray booms to suit a customers requirements; Our nebulous equipment is extremely versatile in the speed it can be set-up, using counter weights and balances that hold the booms in place without the inconvenience of conventional or traditional nebulous equipment. We can fit our nebulous range with automatic timers and flow meters, to enable ease of use and low supervision and operator attention...
